Almarai Concludes Annual Oral and Dental Health Awareness Campaign
As part of its social responsibility programs and its commitment to public health, Almarai Company concluded its annual oral and dental health awareness campaign, in cooperation with King Saud University and Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, in an ongoing partnership for more than 10 years. The campaign concluded in a ceremony held on Monday, May 10, 2024, in Riyadh.
Monther Mahmoud Tayeb, Executive Vice President of Communications at Almarai, affirmed that the campaign comes within the framework of Almarai’s social responsibility programs, which is concerned in one of its aspects with health awareness and promoting community culture about the importance of oral and dental health. He explained that the strategic partnership with educational institutions and universities in implementing awareness campaigns is an approach that Almarai applies in many of its community development initiatives.
Dr. Mohammad Hilmi, Lecturer in Public Health Dentistry and Community Dentistry at King Saud University said: “Oral and dental health is an integral part of an individual’s general health and has a significant impact on their daily lives. This campaign focuses on raising awareness about the importance of oral and dental health and emphasizing the importance of healthy food to support general health. We appreciate Almarai’s efforts in spreading awareness about the importance of individual and community health through this annual campaign.”
Dr. Iman Ibrahim Al-Saqoub, Head of the Department of Community Dentistry at Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, said: “The campaign is a valuable initiative that contributes to strengthening the culture of caring for oral and dental health among community members, raising awareness of the importance of maintaining regular cleaning, and encouraging regular visits to the doctor. Through this campaign, we were able in the College of Dentistry to implement awareness programs that benefited more than 3,500 people this year, including awareness, education, screening, and referral for treatment. We thank Almarai for its commitment to social responsibility and its ongoing support for awareness programs.”
