Almarai signs with the Saudi Logistics Academy
Almarai company has signed a strategic agreement with the Saudi Logistics Academy to facilitate the training and qualification of a new cohort of Saudi youth for employment in the supply chain and logistics services sector within Almarai.
The signing ceremony took place during the graduation event for the inaugural batches of trainees from the academy on Sunday, January 21, 2024. The event was held under the patronage of H.E., the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, and Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser. H.E. the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, and H.E. the Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, attended it.
“This agreement is part of Almarai’s initiatives to localize the food industries sector, which is a key priority in Almarai’s strategic plans.” Ali bin Thabit Al-Qahtani, Head of Administrative Affairs and Supervisor of Localization Programs at Almarai, said.
Notably, the number of Saudi employees at Almarai exceeds 9,000, including more than 900 Saudi female employees. The company has garnered numerous awards in professional business environments, ranking third in LinkedIn’s classification of the “Top 15 Employers Driving Professional Development for Professionals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 2022.”
