flynas launches its first direct flight between Dammam and Salalah
flynas, the Middle East’s leading low-cost carrier, has launched its first direct flight from Dammam to Salalah on Oman’s Arabian Sea coast, expanding its network of international routes and destinations.
The inauguration ceremony was held at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, in the presence of representatives from flynas and Dammam Airports Company on Thursday, June 29, where two weekly direct flights will be operated on Thursdays and Saturdays between Dammam and Salalah, known for its picturesque green spaces during the summer.
The new route will provide flynas guests with more convenient travel options to Salalah, with the Saudi carrier operating additional direct flights to Salalah from Riyadh on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. And from Jeddah with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
flynas will add 10 new destinations and routes in Asia and Europe during the 2023 summer season, starting this June, as the leading Saudi carrier continues to expand its growing international network, bringing the total number of summer destinations to 20.
With a fleet of 49 aircraft, flynas connects more than 70 domestic and international destinations with more than 1,500 weekly flights and has carried more than 60 million passengers since its launch in 2007.
flynas’ success has been crowned with several international awards, including the fourth place as the best low-cost airline in the world and the first in the Middle East by Skytrax in 2023 for the sixth time in a row, which is the highest award given in the aviation industry at the global level since its launch in 1999, in addition to the award for the “Best Low-Cost Airline in the Middle East” in 2022, at the World Travel Awards for the eighth consecutive year.
flynas also received the highest rating in the rating conducted by the non-profit organization “APEX”, one of the largest international airline associations, where the evaluation included 600 airlines of various categories around the world, and flynas came in the four-star category, the highest category of low-cost aviation.
