Flynas Sponsors Medical Flights For Passengers With Autism
flynas, the national air carrier and the leading low-cost airline in the Middle East and the world, announced sponsoring medical flights for passengers with autism spectrum disorder in cooperation with the Society of Autism Families, on the occasion of the World Autism Day on April 2, as part of the company’s social responsibility programs and its commitment to adopting initiatives with sustainable impact on society.
For a whole year, flynas will provide travel vouchers on its flights for passengers with autism spectrum disorder and one companion for each, with up to 10 beneficiaries every month. The charitable Society of Autism Families will receive applications from potential beneficiaries to check the cases and assess their financial situation in order to decide on their eligibility for the program.
This is the second initiative by flynas since the beginning of 2024 to care for people with autism, as the company has announced in January a program for theoretical education and practical training for members of the air hospitality crews and ground service employees, with the aim of learning the best methods for dealing ideally with passengers with autism and learning about strategies for effective communication and interaction with them. The training program also included introducing participants to the characteristics of autism and how to interact with them, as well as training on providing a comfortable and supportive environment for passengers with autism, with a focus on improving their travel experience.
