In line with its commitment to provide the best travel experiences,
flynas, the Saudi national air carrier and leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, received its 20th A320neo aircraft from 120 aircraft acquired by the airline through the 32-billion riyal deal signed with Airbus in 2017. The deal aims to enhance flynas’ service capabilities, offer guests a world-class travel experience at the highest standards, and expand its fleet capacity to fulfill the anticipated rise in demand for the summer 2021 season.
flynas’ fleet upgrade also plays an important role in strengthening the overall Saudi air travel sector and empowering its pursuit of Saudi Vision 2030’s targets aspiring to position Saudi Arabia as a regional and global air transport hub, in particular by fulfilling the “National Transport and Logistics Strategy” aiming to move Saudi Arabia into fifth place globally in terms of number of transit passengers, and increase the number of global destinations served by the country to more than 250.
The new aircraft will additionally serve flynas’ plans to offer new and varied summer destinations via 11 seasonal routes added to its year-round flight network, namely Kyiv, Lviv, Salzburg, Tashkent, Tirana, Sarajevo, Baku, Tbilisi, Batumi, Hurghada, and Sharm El Sheikh.
Featuring the widest single-aisle cabin with a total of 174 seats, the A320neo family incorporates the latest technologies, including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver 15% reduced fuel burn as well as 50% less noise compared to previous generation aircraft.
