Majed Al-Naeem is Chairman of the Steering Board of the Fuel Project at the Arab Air Carriers Association

The Steering Board of the Fuel Project emanating from the Arab Air Carriers Association issued an official decision appointing the representative of flynas, the Saudi air carrier and the leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, Dr. Majid Al-Naeem, as Chairman of the Council, through a congratulatory letter received by Mr. Bandar Al-Muhanna, CEO of flynas, and addressed by the Secretary-General of the Arab Air Carriers Association, Dr. Abdulwahab Tuffaha, for the effective contribution of flynas in supporting the joint projects of the Association, especially Fuel project, through the positive participation of flynas representatives.

Al Muhanna congratulated Dr. Majed Al Naeem, General Manager of Procurement at flynas. He praised his achievements and his confidence in achieving more of them through his new position as Chairman of the Steering Board of the Arab Air Carriers Fuel Project, which extends for up to three years. This is a continuation of flynas’ support for Etihad in all fields that serve the development goals and implement the cooperative goals, in order to serve the development of Arab air traffic, which is one of the most promising and vital sectors.

Al-Naeem expressed his thanks and appreciation for his appointment as Chairman of the Council, noting the role played by the Arab Air Carriers Association in the completion of many mega and essential projects to keep pace with the ambitious vision of the countries of the region in development, foremost of which is the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 that supports the promotion and development of the air transport industry.

The role of the Arab Air Carriers Association is to provide a collective framework for development from all members of the Steering Board, across many areas, the most important of which are: the environment, the Amadeus Group Steering Board, future distribution strategy, trade cooperation, air policy affairs, fuel, cooperation in external terminals, aviation security, in addition to cooperation in the field of maintenance, engineering, reconstruction and training through the Regional Training Center of the Association.

It is worth noting that the Arab Air Carriers Association is an Arab non-profit organization, founded in 1965 on the recommendation of the Permanent Committee for Transport of the Council of the League of Arab States and the accreditation of Arab ministers of transportation, and the Union includes 34 airlines in 19 Arab countries, and its headquarters are in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
