OSN Celebrates Legend Adel Imam’s Birthday With Launch Of New Pop-Up Channel

OSN, the region’s leading entertainment network, is celebrating the legendary Egyptian actor Adel Imam’s 80^th Birthday with a new popup channel in his honor. The channel will launch at 9AM KSA/ 10AM UAE on the first day of Eid Al Fitr, and will feature 30+ iconic movies and plays starring the actor from his early days and spanning across four decades

Adel Imam is known to be on top of the ‘artistic pyramid’ when it comes to drama and comedy. He is one of the pillars of the Egyptian cinema and had a major role on the silver screen, stealing the hearts of millions of his fans in Egypt and around the world. Imam’s career kicked off after the well-known play “MadrasatElMushaghebeen’’ (Rioters school), among other roles in theatre such as Shahed MashafshHaga (A witnesser who didn’t see anything), El-Wad Sayed El-Shaghal (the servant named Sayed), and El-Zaeem (The Leader), all of which made cinematic history.

During his Career, Adel Imam was awarded several prestigious awards, two Horus Awards of which were during the Cairo National Festival for Egyptian Cinema for his roles in ‘El Irhabi’ (The Terrorist)and “OmaretYacoubian” (The Yacoubian Building). He also received a Lifetime Achievement Award during the Dubai International Film Festival. Imam performed in several works that reflect on the ordinary citizens’ difficulties with social and political pressures in Egypt, as well as his performance in some of the most important comedic movies and plays in the history of Egyptian cinema.

The pop-up channel will be included in all OSN packages, and all movies and plays will also be available on OSN’sstreaming platform to cater to the subscribers’ needs of watching any time and on the go.
