Red Sea Global Announces Establishment of The Red Sea National Academy
Riyadh, 28 February, 2024: Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and Amaala, announced the establishment of The Red Sea National Academy (TRSNA) during the Human Capability Initiative held in Riyadh.
TRSNA aims to implement joint programs between RSG, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Colleges of Excellence to qualify trainees with technical specializations that align with the demands of the labor market in the region. Additionally, TRSNA will equip local talent with the necessary skills to bolster the tourism sector in the Kingdom.

By the end of this year we will have opened a further four resorts and next year we will open 19 hotels across The Red Sea and Amaala. With the support of our partners, TRSNA will ensure we have a ready pipeline of trained and motivated talent to service these hotels and connected infrastructure, and deliver on our commitment to creating new opportunities for the people of Saudi Arabia.”

The terms of the agreement include establishing and operating TRSNA in Al-Wajh, and developing joint training programs that are aligned with the needs of the labor market.
The academy aims to train 10,000 trainees by 2030, preparing young Saudis for diverse roles within the tourism sector.
The signing of the agreement was sponsored by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan. The agreement was signed between the Group CEO of Red Sea Global, John Pagano, the Vice Governor of Planning & Business Development at Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Ms. Reem Almugbel, and the CEO of Colleges of Excellence, Engr. Ayman Alabdullah.
Ms. Reem Al-Muqbel emphasized the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation’s commitment to developing national human resources through various training programs, and building strategic partnerships with the private sector to meet the labor market’s needs for qualified human resources.
The establishment of TRSNA represents a significant addition to the education and training system in the Kingdom, and it will contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The CEO of Colleges of Excellence, Eng. Ayman Al Abdullah, expressed his confidence in TRSNA’s ability to supply the tourism sector with qualified Saudis and creating a stimulating training environment to enhance creative and innovative skills among trainees, and become a leading center for education and training in the field of tourism, enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a global tourist destination.
Highlighting TRSNA as part of the Strategic Partnership Institutes in the Kingdom underscores its commitment to providing high-quality training programs tailored to the evolving demands of the labor market.
The establishment of TRSNA marks a significant milestone in the development of the tourism sector in the Kingdom and the realization of Saudi Vision 2030. By offering high-quality training programs tailored to meet the demands of the labor market, the academy will create promising career opportunities for young Saudi men and women, driving forward the goals of economic diversification and social development outlined in Vision 2030.
In 2023, The Red Sea welcomed its first guests, with two of its hotels now open. The Red Sea International Airport (RSI) has been receiving a regular schedule of domestic flights since September 2023. Desert Rock, Thuwal Private Retreat and Shebara will all welcome first guests this year. Amaala remains on track to welcome first guests in 2025, when the first resorts complete as part of Triple Bay phase one, along with Corallium and the iconic Yacht Club.
