Saudia Academy And Egyptair Partner For Pilot Training
As part of a strategic initiative to strengthen collaboration with key partners and in line with the robust ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, a new agreement was formalized during the Dubai Airshow 2023. The agreement, signed between Saudia Academy, a subsidiary of Saudia Group, and EgyptAir, paves the way for the utilization of Saudia’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner simulator.
This collaboration signifies a significant advancement in enriching the training programs offered by Saudia Academy, aiming to enhance the skills and capabilities of professionals in the aviation industry. The partnership aligns seamlessly with the ambitious objectives outlined in the Saudi Vision 2030. By fostering and elevating training initiatives in aviation, Saudia Academy is poised to play a vital role in realizing the transformative goals of this vision.
It is noteworthy that EgyptAir currently operates seven B787 Dreamliner aircraft, with an eighth aircraft slated for delivery in early 2024. This expansion requires an increase in the number of proficient pilots trained to operate this world-class model.
Additionally, Saudia reciprocates this collaborative effort by utilizing certain representative aviation equipment available at the EgyptAir Training Academy, specifically the A330, exemplifying the mutual cooperation between the two entities.
