Tasnee CEO participates in a Discussion Panel at the Saudi-Japan Vision Business Forum in Tokyo

Mr. Fawaz Al-Fawaz, the CEO of TASNEE, and Mr. Yasuji Yamao, the President of Toho Titanium Company of Japan, participated in a panel discussion on “Forging Stronger Manufacturing Collaboration between KSA and Japan” as part of Tasnee’s participation in the Saudi-Japan Vision Business Forum held in the Japanese capital Tokyo on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The forum was held with the honor and attendance of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, HE Eng. Khalid Al Falih, Minister of Investment, in addition to some of Their Highnesses and Excellencies. Over 300 participants representing relevant entities and companies from both sides attended the forum, which was organized by the General Investment Authority and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

The forum’s activities witnessed Tasnee and Toho Titanium celebration of 10 years of strategic partnership and cooperation between the two parties. The collaboration over the past 10 years has resulted in the establishment of the AMIC & Toho Titanium Metal Company, which is the first of its kind project in the Kingdom and the Middle East for producing Titanium Sponge material. This project has contributed to localizing industrial technology within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, developing and qualifying national talents, and transferring Japanese expertise. The two parties affirmed their keenness to continue their cooperation to ensure sustainable supply to the global market of Titanium Sponge, as a strategic product used in advanced, aerospace, and aviation industries.

Mr. Al-Fawaz praised the strategic partnership between Tasnee and the Japanese Toho Titanium Company as one of the success stories between the Kingdom and Japan, paving the way for further industrial cooperation between the two sides in a favorable and attractive environment. Through this partnership, Tasnee was able to localize modern industrial technology and develop national competencies. Al-Fawaz emphasized Tasnee’s keenness to strengthen its cooperation with the Japanese partner in order to contribute to the development of the national industry and meet the demand for strategic products both locally and globally.
