Tasnee participates in shaping the Future of Minerals in the Future Minerals Forum 2024
Tasnee sponsored and participated in the success of the 3rd Future Minerals Forum (FMF) to shape the future of the minerals industry, which was held under a generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from 10 – 11 January 2024. The conference witnessed a significant presence from Tasnee senior management, led by the Chairman, Eng. Mubarak A. Al Khafrah, the CEO, Mr. Mutlaq H. Al Morished, and executive management. EVP Finance and Support Functions, Mr. Fawaz M. Al Fawaz, has received an honorary trophy from H.E. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Mr. Bander I. Al Khorayef, on behalf of Tasnee as a Strategic Partner of the Forum.
Tasnee CEO Mr. Mutlaq Al Morished joined the panel discussion on the first day of the conference on «Making Africa, Western and Central Asia Processing and Manufacturing Hubs» aiming at enabling investment and building human capabilities, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Minerals Development of the Republic of Zambia, and a number of speakers. Al Morished highlighted the role of Tasnee in enhancing the value chain in the mining sector in the Kingdom and the world, as it is one of the most important global investors in the value chains of titanium metal and the only producer of a group of strategic products in the Middle East, producing 10% of global production of Titanium Sponge and Pig Iron, as important products used in advanced industries such as aviation and military industries, in addition to Titanium Dioxide through its influential share in Tronox.
On the sidelines of the Conference, Advanced Smelting Industries Company (ASIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Human Minerals Antimony And Titanium Limited, to discuss the possibility of collaboration, to meet ASIC’s annual needs for securing about 25,000 tons of Anthracite from Human company. The MoU was signed by Mr. Turki M. Al Juhani, Tasnee CPO representing ASIC and Mr. Vardan Muradyan, Director, representing Human Company.
The conference was held with the participation of more than 250 high profile speakers, 13,000 visitors, representing more than 145 countries all over the world. It included the holding of the third ministerial meeting of ministers of mining affairs from 45 countries, to highlight the great mining potential of the region and working to exploit it, build capabilities, enhance cooperation on the production of strategic minerals, and lay the foundations of sustainable development of industry around the world.
