Tasnee signs an agreement to supply its T&I Center with Solar Energy

Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and within its approach towards sustainability, energy and environment conservation, Tasnee signed an agreement with Olayan Energy Company to develop solar photovoltaic power plants at the Tasnee Technology and Innovation Center. The agreement was signed by Mr. Turki Al-Juhani, Chief Procurement Officer, in the presence of Mr. Fawaz Al-Fawaz, Tasnee CEO, and Dr. Sulaiman Al-Khattaf, VP Technology and Innovation, on behalf of Tasnee. The agreement was also signed by Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Muhaya, General Manager, in the presence of Salih Merghani, EVP Energy, on behalf of Olayan Company.

The two parties agreed to deploy solar photovoltaic power stations of the Tasnee Technology and Innovation Center, as this agreement fulfills Tasnee approach towards achieving its strategy, policies and energy initiatives to increase its energy efficiency and meet the highest standards. This comes within Tasnee keenness of sustainability, the impact of climate change and the needs to reduce emissions, rationalize energy, and preserve the environment.

Mr. Fawaz Al-Fawaz, praised the cooperation with Olayan Energy Company, stressing the Tasnee’s keenness to integrate renewable energy sources in general and solar panels in particular among the renewable energy sources to rely upon in the company, adding that Tasnee puts the concern for the environment, rationalization of energy and increasing reliance on renewable energy sources on top of its priorities. Tasnee also aims to reduce carbon emissions to reach zero net carbon emissions by 2060.
