The Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) announces its new headquarters in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh

The Saudi Research and Media Group – (SRMG) announced today its new headquarters in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), the new global center for business and commerce in the capital, Riyadh. The announcement of the new headquarters comes in line with the objectives of the growth and expansion strategy announced by the group last year, which aims to enhance its leadership role as the largest media group in the region, enabling it to lead the media scene in the region and support its endeavors to become one of the most important leading media groups in the world. The new headquarters will be the launching pad for the group to create a global media gathering that brings together the most prominent media, creativity, technology and content industry companies in the Saudi capital.

The new headquarters will be the ideal location from which to meet the aspirations of more than 165 million monthly readers, viewers and followers from across the globe, in line with SRMG’s strategy of achieving an effective and integrated institution. The new headquarters at KAFD will be a suitable environment to promote integration between all the group’s platforms, helping it to achieve its ambitious goals. These goals include developing and digitizing its newspapers and media platforms as well as entering into new fields, such as the events industry: organizing conferences, exhibitions and seminars. SRMG also plans to expand to book publication and big data analysis, supporting research and surveys.

The new headquarters will house all the group’s various platforms under one roof, including “Asharq Al-Awsat”, “Akhbar Al-Sharq”, “Asharq Business”, “Arab News”, “Arqam”, “Manga Arabia”, “Sayidaty” and “Heya” magazines. The new group sections will also include SRMG MEDIA, SRMG X and SRMG THINK, which will broaden SRMG’s offering and help establish a global gathering of creativity and content industry in KAFD. These new entities will also strengthen SRMG’s position as a preferred media partner with leading institutions such as Bloomberg and The Independent.

Asharq
The group’s new headquarters will be a starting point for the global expansion of the network and platforms of “Al Sharq” and ” Asharq Business”. At these new headquarters, investment in the latest studio technologies, including social media, podcast and virtual reality studios, as well as data analysis, will allow the expansion of business in the areas of creating cultural and scientific documentary content supported by the group’s legacy as the main source of news and information. The group also plans to expand, opening new offices in Washington and Singapore, in addition to its other offices in London and Dubai.

King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) is set to become the headquarters for many international companies and the center of the digital economy in the Kingdom. The new headquarters of SRMG is located in the fourth area of the center, which consists of 10 floors and can accommodate around 1,200 employees. The interior spaces of the new headquarters, to which the group will gradually move, were designed in a manner that stimulates joint work and provides an interactive environment.
